Exhibition Monolith Fingers
These exhibition Monolith Fingers are made from GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) each monolith has a different configuration of holes. We made a single former (Plug) without any holes, just a plain monolith, then we took a two piece mould from the former. This was reinforced to make it strong enough for several monoliths to be made from it. For each of the holes we made a plant to go into the mould and each plant was made from a block of MDF. These were used to form the holes and rebates.
With plants in the mould both sides of the monolith were laid-up and released from the mould. Reinforcing was added and then the two halves were glued together. The monolith required some final filling and polishing before we could apply the final finish of two pack paint.
Each monolith was mounted onto a removable steel plate that slotted into the bottom. An acrylic Boucher display case was made and graphics applied.
A second design for a more curved monolith was made using the same techniques.
With our expertise in manufacturing fibreglass, we aim to produce most products in a cost effective way but still retaining the high quality that our customers expect.

Vizual Marine
Vizual Marine had developed a new innovative racing yacht and had just received backing from Artemis Ocean Racing - their place at the Southampton Boat Show was booked in readiness for the press launch. The television cameras, press and lots of VIPs would be there. Vizual Marine needed a quickly produced and cost effective showstand.
Being outside, the stand needed to be weather proof. We decided to print large format banners and stretch them over a 50mm x 50mm timber frame. Vizual Marine supplied photographs and sponsors' logos and we designed a back drop covering the width of the stand. We added returns to include an outside cupboard to hold sailing kit and brochures etc.
This stand has been used time and time again - it is very easy to erect and deconstruct and it is also very light to move around. This design creates a professional look at a reasonable cost.

Shaped Bed Unit
This MDF shaped bed was made to fit a corner unit of an existing stand. The bed was made in two sections for ease of transportation and each section was vacuumed around a former to get the perfect shape. Discreet holes were cut to make the unit as light as possible. Two apertures were cut into the side of the bed unit complete with curved sliding doors.
The bed unit was finished in an Oak laminate to match the existing exhibition display.

Rotating Display Stand
We were asked for ideas for the best ways to display a number of small products in a simple, neat easily transportable but cost effective way.
I had seen a finger post system with slots on four sides on a round post. This came to mind and I had soon come up with idea for the display. I made the projecting finger panels 800mm high by 600mm wide on a post 1200mm long. We then made a cross base with a spigot that slid up inside the post. We sprayed all the components white applied graphics and the job was done.
In the photo only one of the four projecting panels has been fitted.

Easel Exhibition Stand Units
These free standing Easel Displays are a neat and great looking display. Main panels were made from GRP (glass reinforced plastic) with clear coated carbon tubes and painted steel base plated. All of the panels are interchangeable to use in any configuration.
MDF formers were made for the easels top and bottom panels with our CNC router. GRP moulds were made from the formers and four products were formed from each. Inserts were formed to fit snugly around 76mm carbon tubes inside the panels. 4mm steel base plates were made complete with spigots to hold the carbon tubes at the correct angle. Each easel display panels has a fixing for the Oceanair products and a back panel was made to cover all the workings.
